Journalist. Artist. Traveler.
My name is Alejandra and I'm a Peruvian journalist and visual artist. I've lived in Lima, New York, Shanghai, Los Angeles and now I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, have an intermediate level of French and speak a little bit of Mandarin.
My work focuses on telling underrepresented and overlooked stories in creative and interactive ways. I currently work as a freelance journalist, entertainment and lifestyle writer at The List, and senior editor at Mi Voz Media, a digital publication focused on people of color in the arts.
Whenever I'm not writing, drawing or photographing, you can find me biking around the city or playing with my cat Mochi.
