Alejandra Arévalo is a multimedia journalist with a passion for all things culture. Her goal is to tell underrepresented and often overlooked stories in creative and interactive ways. She currently works as staff writer for NYU Local and Celeb Writer Magazine and senior editor for Mi Voce y La Tuya.
Originally from Peru, she has studied in Lima, New York and Shanghai and now she is based in Los Angeles from where she is taking her last (virtual) classes at New York University. She will graduate in December with a B.A. in Journalism and Sociology. In the first half of 2020, she was an editorial and social media intern for Modern Luxury Media and deputy editor for NYU’s student newspaper Washington Square News.
Whenever she is not writing, drawing or photographing, you can find her biking around the city or playing with her cat Mochi.
